1 2 # The Content Format 3 4 Coleslaw expects content to have a file extension matching the class 5 of the content. (I.e. `.post` for blog posts, `.page` for static pages, etc.) 6 7 There should also be a metadata header on all files 8 starting and ending with the config-specified `:separator`, ";;;;;" by 9 default. Example: 10 11 ``` 12 ;;;;; 13 title: foo 14 tags: bar, baz 15 date: yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss 16 format: html (for raw html) or md (for markdown) 17 excerpt: Can also be extracted from content (see :excerpt-sep config param) 18 ;;;;; 19 your post 20 ``` 21 22 Posts require the `title:` and `format:` fields. 23 Pages require the `title:` and `url:` fields. 24 25 To omit a field, simply do not have the line present, empty lines and 26 fields (e.g. "tags:" followed by whitespace) will be ignored.
