1 Ink Update watches Rebind and its extensions. When a new version is ready, it 2 makes a notification. 3 4 The app does not install anything. It finds the new version and opens the page. 5 You install it. 6 7 Rebind has no internet permission. This app has it, so Rebind does not need it. 8 You can remove Ink Update at any time, and Rebind keeps working. 9 10 It watches Rebind, Ink Recents, Ink Dim and Ink Update. It shows only the ones 11 that are on your device. 12 13 It looks in three places, in this order. First F-Droid: if F-Droid has a newer 14 build, the app opens the F-Droid page. Then Google Play: if Google Play 15 installed the app, Google Play updates it, and Ink Update stops there. Then 16 GitHub: the app reads the last ten releases and takes the newest one that is 17 not a draft. 18 19 Tap "Check now" to look. Turn on "Check once a day" for a daily check that 20 lives through a restart. 21 22 The app sends no identifier, no account, no advertisement and no analytics. It 23 contacts two hosts, f-droid.org and api.github.com. Each one sees your IP 24 address and the name of the package or the repository, and nothing else. 25 26 Made for e-ink readers and any Android 12 or later. 27 28 Free software, GPL-3.0-or-later.
