1 # Privacy policy of Scan SubRead 2 3 Scan SubRead has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The 4 developer gets no data from the app. 5 6 ## Data on the device 7 8 The app keeps these items in its own storage on the device: 9 10 - a copy of the last book that you opened, 11 - the text of the pages that it read, 12 - the page, the subtitles and the settings of each book. 13 14 Uninstalling the app deletes them. "Clear all pages" in the menu deletes 15 the pages. 16 17 ## Data that goes to other apps on the device 18 19 - The text that you tap goes to the dictionary app that you choose. 20 - A word and its sentence go to SubRead Anki when you make a card. 21 - The text of the book goes to SubRead when you make subtitles. 22 - The app asks SubRead Overlay for the position of the audiobook player. 23 24 These apps are on your device. Scan SubRead sends nothing to a server 25 for them. 26 27 ## Network 28 29 The first OCR run of a language downloads the language data of Tesseract 30 from `cdn.jsdelivr.net`. The request sends no data about you or your 31 books. The CDN sees the IP address of the device, as each web server 32 does. The privacy policy of jsDelivr applies to it: 33 https://www.jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy-jsdelivr-net 34 35 The app makes no other network request. 36 37 ## Contact 38 39 Open an issue at https://github.com/equwal/scan-subread/issues.
